When I got involved in re-designing the sponsorship package, one of the things I wanted to focus on was the photography. Strong and dramatic images really speak to the kind of intensity that roller derby players have. With that in mind, I worked closely with the head of sponsorship to come up with a concept that highlighted the appropriate elements and portray the right image.

I recently watched an amazing video, which highlights the visceral, physical nature of a book. In contrast is the experience of creating an ebook in Book Creator for the iPad. The two videos serve to highlight the dichotomy that currently exist between my convenient ebook library and the shelves in my house filled with physical books.

My father is prone to spouting pseudo-philosophical statements about the ‘journey down the river of life’. For Father’s Day, my sister and I decided it was high time that he start proclaiming his status as a River of Life Guru. My brilliant sister came up with over 20 different sayings and I created ‘Deep Thoughts’ style cards for each one.
